What about s3, s4 or the nexus 4?

Theres nothing wrong with the s3 at all, but samsung usually stops giving them updates after a while. THe nexus 4 is a awesome device, factory unlocked, unlocked bootloader, etc. However, if your friend has the abilitity to use LTE, sadly, the nexus 4 doesnt support it.  I would recommend getting the s4, seeing how its the newest implementation of that series of phones.
