What's going on? Need help with Linux

I've tried installing elementary OS Freya and OpenSuse 13.2 on my desktop (i7 4790K, Asus Sabertooth MKII, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, GTX 650ti 2GB, wireless card) and the following error keeps occurring:

[ 2.817690 nouveau E[ DEVICE][0000:01:00.0] unknown chipset, 0x124020a1

[ 2.817724 nouveau E[ DRM] failed to create 0x80000080, -22

I don't know what's going wrong as my i5 4440 and Asus H87M-Pro never had any issues in the same configuration before I upgraded my rig. Is there anything I can do? Or any Debian based distro that would work correctly with my rig?

Its nearing midnight so I'll be answering in the morning when I'm thinking straight.

Boot with nv_disable=1

Or add nomodeset to the kernel options in GRUB.

Or try updating the Nvidia drivers. Switch to the CLI shell (ctrl+alt+F1)

sudo apt-get updatesudo apt-get upgrade

And

sudo apt-get install nvidia-xxx

I had them working just fine with the same versions of Linux and my cards set up in the same configuration. I'll try nv_disable=1 however I can not connect my desktop to the internet over ethernet as I have to have my router down 2 levels (phone socket is down there for my router)
