You mean FTB right?

Tekkit is a seperate modpack, you can install it via the FTB launcher though.

I know it is a seperate modpack i just mean that FTB gives a better minecraft experience and i would always recommend that over tekkit.

some people only want the technical aspect, i am not to fond of thaumcraft my self, and i tihnk the twilight world is not necessary.

True but you could always disable them myself i have added a bunch of mods and its easier to have a lot of mods that you can disable then having a few mods and you have to go and install them all.
