something other than an RM series PSU would be better seeing as there are some rather shady caps in those things. but your wattage is about right.

Corsair PSU's are overpriced for the quality you get.

I understand the money issue, but I trust them and It looks nice, so i'm willing to pay the extra for the looks. Problem is, how many watts do I actually need? if 1000 isn't enough Ill go EVGA

I think the RMi ones are better (still overpriced).

I'd personally go with Antec, Seasonic or Cooler Master for that matter.

I was just about to say RMi's have largely improved, my friend showed me one and we compared it to his old RM series. Corsair Link too :D

When you buy corsair power supplies your buying some black box manufactured by another company with a corsair sticker slapped on the side you aren't trusting corsair, your trusting the company they buy them from, and there markups are steep as fuck compared to other brands that do the same thing.

No, not at all! I have a CX500 that has put up with a fair amount of abuse. Works great. Recommended by me for budget builds all over if it's on sale.

It's just that when you find an Earthwatts Platinum 650W for under $60, it's hard to turn down. And then you find that it's a brilliant power supply.

I try not to have bias in my systems, but when I find something good, it does stick.

Ok so, yeah you have a point. And really, I don't need corsair link. Is there any way I can like, "Cover" the sticker without voiding anything, while keeping the build clean?

You have enough wattage for two 980tis for sure at 850W. If you must have 1000W the RMi is good but EVGA has many better priced options.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

My system: PCPartPicker || For Corsair support tag @Corsair Josephor @Corsair Nick || My 5MT Legacy GT Wagon ||
