I cant get my mic to work. im using some samsung earbuds with a build in mic.

when i connect them i can get the mic to detect sound and if it does it sounds really low or like if i put two phones next to each other(that weird echo sound they make)

i tried every port. i can seem to figure out whats wrong.

I'm assuming you're using a headset with one 4-pole header correct? Most computers only do input/output selectively per connector, only laptops such as the razer blade or some variation of the macbook will have a single connector which is the same as the phone your earphones are intended for to use.

when the computer connector is 3-pole and the earbuds are 4-pole the computer will only output audio to the earbuds but not take the mic input.

the sound you hear could be feedback from the output to the earbuds
