SSD In Nvidia Shield?

Hey guys. I see that there is a Nvidia Shield Pro for $299 with a 500GB SSHD. Since this is 2.5 inch, do you guys think that the device is easy enough to open up and put an SSD inside? Thanks.

Probably, but there is a good chance it will void the warranty. Plus you'd have to mirror the SSHD to the SSD, and even then I'm not sure it will boot.

Assuming that the standard model has the SATA port, the OS would be on the onboard storage. I guess that the SSHD isn't that bad (I have two lol). I'll see what the speeds are like when I buy it.

If you search on the shield forums you will see that you can not change the drive in the system. Lots have tried and failed it does not use the standard SATA connection. I have the 16 Gig model with an external drive attached. Just giving a heads up.
