Having a cursor issue with a game

Hello I'm new ot the forums was pointed this way from Nvidia's forums.

 

My problem is simple I play Star Wars: the Old republic and the cursor changes depending on things your trying to click on. This seems to be broken in for me instead of changing the cursor stays as standard golden pointer icon. I had assumed this was a graphics driver issue and reverted back to a driver I knew of that the cursor still worked but that didn't reslove the issue. The forums for star wars seems to be worthless since no one at bioware seems to respond to user made posts and in game ticket hasn't gotten me a response yet.  Also have tried everything i can with the mouse section of control panel to no solution.

CPU: Intel core i7-4790 4.00GHz

GPU: Geforce GTX 970

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 With recent Biso update

RAM: 8.00 GB

PSU: 850 wattz

OS: Window 7 Home

Reinstall the game?

I can't completely install the game as I'm on a limited data for my internet but I have used a copy of the game from my brother's laptop that doesn't seem to have the problem. It all just happened suddenly/
