Having some serious stability issues with an Intel Q8400 quad core processor on an EVGA 750i motherboard

(EVGA 122-YW-E173-TR)

Updated the bios to latest version, tried manual and default settings for the CPU in bios, but still having extreme stability issues. The board detects the cpu and boots into windows (sometimes) but once its there it usually only lasts a few minutes before freezing up the entire system.

ive tried stock settings as well as some overclocking settings, still not working.

I've attempted to find overclocking guides and follow videos but all the guides and videos seem to be for the FTW version of this motherboard (which i dont have) or a different CPU. I know this board and CPU work together, I've seen people getting them working, and tigerdirect.com even had a bundle with this same exact setup on sale.

Thanks for reading and I hope you can help me out
