16GB of RAM is a little bit overkill for what you are trying to do. I would go with 8GB, save a couple bucks, and maybe upgrade to an r9 290, for future if you want to play (slightly) more demanding games down the road. :)

CPU:Intel i5 4690k GPU:EVGA GTX 970 SSC Motherboard:MSI Z97 G45 RAM:Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB PSU:Corsair CX600M SSD:Crucial MX100 256GB HDD:Seagate 3TB Case:Corsair SPEC-02

Use one myself. Works fine.

It has the most ratings on PCPP with an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. Means the people like it.

As a boot drive it is definitly okay to use, cause it's not the read speed that makes a SSD a great choice for a boot drive.

It has nothing to do with the speeds. It has to do with the whole Bait&Switch that occurred with this SSD and is why it should be avoided like the plague. I can't willingly suggest anything from Kingston when they did this. It isn't right and shouldn't be supported by anyone.

There are more important problems with humanity than a SSD.

Also we are talking about Kingston here, not just some weird company that no one cares about. Kingston has usually really great products and also prices. That was the first time I know of that they made a mistake.

There were also the problems with Samsung and their 840 Evos. Still I bought a 850 Evo, because I know that Samsung won't make that mistake again.

And they didn't.
