What OS I should I install to PC with thees specs
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
256MB DDR1 RAM
Geoforce 2 MX 400

Good old XP? Not tech savy person is going to use it, so linux is not really an option.

Laptop: Acer V3-772G  CPU: i5 4200M GPU: GT 750M SSD: Crucial MX100 256GB
Desktop: CPU: R7 1700x GPU: RTX 2080 SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 1TB

You might want to install Linux in it, like Lubuntu or something else.

It's light, but you need to get used to it, it's completely different from Windows. You need to learn some terminal commands but you don't have to memorize all of them, just some of them that you really need.

 

I'm not sure about windows though, XP isn't supported anymore, going below XP. If you don't mind, you can go with that.

ubuntu isnt hard to learn and its free :)

Yeah.

You can go with Lubuntu, it's Ubuntu + LXDE.

Unlike other distros, Ubuntu is pretty easy to learn.

Yeah.

I could have been an option I guess :/

And what do you guys meant by easy to learn? It's not purely UI based? I don't want to bother old people with terminal commands.

Well Ubuntu is "More" user-friendly, Ubuntu's drivers are easier to find as well.

The "Learn" can be about getting used to it (well the UI is different) and terminal commands (better option --> you can go online to get help/messing around <-- not recommended).

There are a lot more, just like when you were learning windows, took some times.

I have it on a laptop with 56MB RAM and a single core pentium 3!
