I will be buying one around Christmas time... where do you see the prices going? I'd really like to keep the cost to about $300, but I may have to go for a QNIX to stay in the price range.

Nah, you'll be able to find a good deal. Monoprice is running their 4K screen at $400, so you'll be able to find a decent one by then if you're not too picky.

Ah thanks. I'm not too picky, I just want 1440p with reasonable response/input lag. Do you think the ASUS and Acer models will come down to about $300 by then?
