Windows 10 optical output problems.....

Before I upgrade I do use an optical output logitech system and from what I've read it's a MS problem and it doesn't matter what motherboard. Has this been fixed? Is there someone with a work around? Or does someone with a newer board have it working fine? Thanks for your time.
