Witcher 3 odd behaviour

 So I decided to test the Frame Rate Target Control feature in Witcher 3 now and it was working fine - 55 fps max limit - got 66*C on the core and 67*C on the VRMs but once I alt-tabbed to check how the temps were, the GPU usage spiked (while alt-tabbed) to 100% and stayed there, temps on both quickly rose by 3*C (the way they were before I turned it on) and stayed like that. Does anyone else have the game use the GPU @ 100% when alt-tabbed?

i personally would use rivatuner's frame limit control or the in-game frame limiter.

For me the weird thing is the way the game behaves once I alt-tab. Currently considering downgrading to 15.5 driver and also reinstalling the game.

Same thing - that won't even let me alt-tab and the GPU stays at max load.

you could try verifying the game files. you need gog galaxy client though

Will try - if nothing else works will try reinstalling the drivers and then reinstalling the game
