Currently have this guy. I've been told before that the SSD im using as my boot drive ( Silicon power) Is crap. Is this true? Lets say I bought a evo, evo pro, or some other brand ssd. Would there be any difference? All I do on the SSD is boot and have applications/drivers installed there.  All the actual saved stuff goes on the wd black. Suggestions?

with ssd's you have to worry alot more about reliablity

the speed of the drive might be good

but the reliablity might be garbage

ssd's I would recommend

crucial mx

samsung evo/pro

intel

sandisk..

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile

So do you recommend me actually buying another one instead of just keeping the one i already have?

if its only the boot drive..and you don't keep your important files on it

then it hardly matters...but lots of people would prefer a reliable drive

I don't think anyone here can tell you silicon power's ssd reliablty..cause the data just isn't avalible

theres not enough tests being done on ssd's to check reliablity over a few years

Ok thanks :) I guess just keep a general backup of a cloned version of it?
