so guys, im about to build my first custom loop. here is what im kind of unsure about though. my set up will be roughly the same as the pic above with the way the tubing will run and the rads will be placed but with the pump mounted on the rad/fan at the bottom . both the 360mm rad at the top and the 240mm rad at the bottom will be cooled by 120mm noctua 2000rpm fans three for the top rad two for the bottom. then there will also be two 140 noctua 2000rpm fans at the front of the case and one at the exaust. what i want to know is the best way i should position the fans and rads (push, pull, fans on inside or ouside etc) thanks for any help. also i am not using sli it will be one 5930k processor and 1 titan x sc

I'd have front fans as intake, bottom fans as push intake, rear fan as filtered intake (case doesn't have a filter there stock) and top fans as push exhaust.

I have mine set up almost the same way, but I have my 240mm in the front, not the bottom. The rear fan provides more fresh air to the top rad:

looks nice.

i watched this vid, i got the idea that push or pull doesnt matter so much, although for my set up with the three case noctua fans i wondered if somethings might work better than other things

if all the front and bottom is intake, 4x fans, wouldnt having the back and top (also 4 fans) as out take work better? but also is it better to have them pulling air or pushing?

i agree, although form looking at the parts on line i think it may look as though it would be easier to mount the pump/reservoir to the bottom on the rad rather that the fans. like in the pic the rad at the top

Not really. You want to have positive air pressure (more intake than exhaust) using filters on the intakes to reduce dust build up. The rear fan pulling air in provides more fresh air to the top radiator.

Push or pull doesn't really matter. If you have SP fans (which you should for rads), then I'd suggest putting them in push.

im using the noctua 2000rpm industrial fans, the black ones. so this filter for the single fan at the back of the case, what should i be looking for? nice build by the way

You can use something like this http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-FF122-Filter-Magnet-Cooling/dp/B006RD0U54

I hope you're not going to be running them at 2000RPM all the time? That will be loud as hell.

obviously not, its just that i wanted the black fans and thats the lowest noctua do in black, ill prob run them about 900, will have too see how it sounds and how the temps are :) what cards is it u have in that rig and what kind of temps should i expect. the titan x i have got gets to about 80 under load. way too hot for me

I have two Titan Blacks in there. The GPUs never go above around 50C and the CPU stays around the same, but can go higher when it's at 100% (OC to 4.6GHz)

nice, so should i expect a little less only having 1 titan x and more direct fans to the rads? both rads are 45mm thickness

I think I use these http://www.amazon.co.uk/SilverStone-FF141B-fan-grill-filter/dp/B004EIXVXM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1438730892&sr=8-3&keywords=140mm+fan+filter

They're not magnetic, but work well.

Yep, it's a slightly modified 750D with a custom res and SSD mounting plate. There's a link to the build log in my signature if you want to check it out, maybe for some ideas.

Yep, the temps should be better for you. It can depend on the individual chips though, some will just run hotter.

if its around 50 degrees then im very happy, i love the card to pieces and found it to perform a lot better than all the 980 tis i tried (3 of which)  but the noise and the heat that blows out the back of that stock cooler is ridiculous :S
