Need Help With Kali Linux

Hello. I'm new using Kali Linux so please be patient with me.

I just received my TP Link TL-WN722N from Amazon today. I connected it to my pc. Installed all of the drivers for it and started up Kali Linux in VM VirtualBox. I opened the terminal and did ifconfig but it is not being recognized. Opened the Wicd Network Manager and added wlan0 under Preferences / General Settings / Network Settings. Still nothing. Idk what I'm doing wrong. Please help.

Virtualbox uses bridged connections. It will emulate an Ethernet adapter.

Please post the contents of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

Virtualbox can't do Wireless over a Bridged Adapter. It can but it won't be WiFi it will treat it like a LAN connection. To be able to use WiFi inside Virtualbox you need to add it as a device when you start the VM.
