GeForce LED light control broken?

I don't know if any of you guys are having this problem but I can't change the LED on my GTX 970. It's stuck at full brightness and even changing the settings in geForce Experience doesn't do anything.

 

Basically it's stuck at full brightness regardless of my settings. normally I have it set to audio flashing because it looks cool and I get that when I set foobar to WASAPI output it breaks the LED light control but even after I restart Windows and use direct sound (switch works) my LED is still stuck at full brightness.

try using the gigabyte controller instead?

the current list of dead cards is as follows 2 evga gtx 980ti acx 2.0 , 1 evga gtx 980 acx 2.0 1600mhz core 2100mhz ram golden chip card ... failed hardcore , 1 290x that caught fire , 1 hd 7950 .
