"Finale's audio engine failed to load."

just installed windows 10 successfully with zero issues with audio- except this.

 

i've tried all of the online support at MakeMusic's website but none work.

can't update drivers since they're all for windows 7/8, and I use Razer surround (without EQ settings, so don't nag me! xD) going through a displayport into my monitor for my speakers since the Alienware x51 doesn't have an audio jack on the back. it worked fine in windows 7 but something happened in the windows 10 upgrade that finale doesn't like

 

any help?
