I doubt you can upgrade the GPU...

If it runs off integrated graphics I doubt there's a spot for a new one. If you have a discrete card, it's probably soldered onto the mobo

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

@Fgtfv567 I saw some graphics cards on Ebay that said they were for a laptop, does that mean it would fit any laptop or?

Use the quote button, @ is typically used to grab someone's attention that has never seen the thread you're on

Again you have to check the compatibility of your specific laptop. In some cases, you can upgrade your laptop, but you usually can't.

And seeing how HP uses a special screw type to keep people away from opening their desktops, I doubt you can upgrade yours.

I saw on google that I might be able to upgrade my graphics card if I buy a whole new mobo with a better one on it. do you know how i could get one.

Yeah, you can get a new mobo, but it's a metric shitton of work to do. A standard mobo in a desktop would be a lot of work. This is a laptop. In an enclosed space with fragile cables everywhere. Made by the company that doesn't want you opening up their PCs and will try to stop you from doing so.

I have taken my latop apart many times down to nothing. Are you saying that it would be hard to take the laptop apart, or to get the new motherboard into it.

Oh. I meant the former. I put up a desktop build on another one of your threads, have you looked at it?

Yes I did look at the desktop build. I was more interested in a laptop because I go over to friends houses to game ALOT and I wanted something easily portable.

Portable? Why didn't you say something about a small desktop? That's literally what I do.

How small are you talking?

You don't keep up with PC news that much huh? One of the smallest cases is the CM elite 110

Measurements at the bottom, there are a few other cases about as small as this one

Hell this specific case was even chosen to be used as a steam machine by one of the steam machine manufacturers

So it's just a case not an actual computer?

You have the case, buy all the other parts, put them inside the case, and then you have a functional computer
