I NEED HELP, RECORDING AND RENDERING

Gday Everyone,

I need some help with my game recording and dont know where else to try, Im currently recording stuff for my youtube channel using Brandicam and Sony movie studio platinum to render it, Im having trouble getting my videos to run at 1080p on mobile devices, the highest best quailty i can see my videos is at 720p on my phone but i can watch other peoples at 1080p, and people using tablets ect seem to be having the same issue or worse been only able to run at 360p so its affecting my channel, I can watch them on my computer no worries at 1080p HD so thats not a issue. Also sony software seems to be limited at rendering to 30fps, which is ok but wouldnt it be better to recored at 60fps to match the screen resolution? usually the games run above that but i thought 60fps would be better.

Is there someone on here who really knows there stuff who can help me perfect my setting, or recommend much better software to use, Im tempted to just pay the $20 per month and go with adobe pro for rendering, it sounds like its the best but dont know what to do for recording software. what options are there that are really good?

i dont know what else to try i have spent 8 hours today making short videos and uploading them in ever different configuration i can think off and nothing is working,

Currently Brandicam is recording at 1920x1080

                                                            30 fps

                                               Codec  -  H.264

                                                Quality 100

But ive tried pretty much all other settings and nothing works most dont even allow for uploading to sony movie stuido.

Brandicam is really annoying me is there other options, the only other one i know of is FRAPS and i think thats worse then what i have.

Id really be thankful for any advice, i dont know what else to do. Thankyou

There's a recording program called Dxtory.

Try using that. Alternatively, you could try Open Broadcaster Software, which is free and records footage in good quality also.

This you? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbxfqy8Lf41kcFpC5x81I8w

Try running OBS, 1080 60fps @ 25,000kb/s (Nvidia NVEC is nice, otherwise you might need to tone down the bitrate to keep from dropping frames using H264 or quicksync)

As for video stuff, that would be youtubes problem, they're meant to render it at a specific bitrate that works for everyone, though if that is you I had no problem streaming your content at 1080p.....

Yeah thats the one, it works fine on the computer but i just cant get 1080 on my phone, Is it worth trying a capture card instead ive heard some good things about them? Im surprised with such a big community of people doing this sort of thing that there is such a limited amount of software around.

i thought this youtube stuff would be a fun hobbie its been nothing but stress so far, this forum is so helpful you guys always have the ansewers to all my issues.

Works fine on my phone just tested.... I believe youtube made it so you can only stream the resolution of your phone now... I can watch it at 1080p fine on my LG G3 (and my phone has a 1440p screen)

EDIT: some of your videos work 1080p, others only run 720...... try using OBS to record see if its youtube bugging out... if not, contact youtube support...

Oh also try running a video through https://handbrake.fr/ before you upload it.... that might solve the problem...

I would recommend trying Twitch then. It's much more fun and interactive and much easier to set up. There's less time editing and learning to use editing programs and more playing games and having fun in general.

I started doing YouTube and its just too much effort to put out good content when you have other things going on outside in life. Twitch on the other hand is super simple. Get the basics down for OBS and then feel free to customize the shit on your stream to make it more unique.

It's exactly what I did. :P
