I just recently built a new HTPC with the following specs:

Intel Pentium G3258 (stock speed right now @ 3.2GHz)

Gigabyte B85 Phoenix Wifi mobo (miniITX)

4GB Corsair Value Ram (2x2GB @ 1333)

SanDisk 128GB SSD

Corsair CX430M PSU

Silverstone SG13B-Q case

Windows 8.1 x64

I have a couple of questions relating to the integrated graphics.

1. Does the CPU use a portion of my system memory? As in, will it use some of my 4GB of system memory?

If so, how much? And will it show up in my system overview within Windows as 4.00GB (3.88GB useable)?

2. If I do decide to install a dedicated graphics card (GT 740 or GTX 750 Ti for example), do I need to uninstall the integrated graphics? Or will Windows detect the installed graphics card and remove that functionality automatically?

Thanks for any and all replies.

Main Rig - i7 5930K // Corsair H100i // ASUS X99 Deluxe // Corsair Vengeance 16GB // Samsung 850 EVO SSD 250GB + 1TB // MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio // Corsair Obsidian 550D // Corsair HX850 // Acer Predator 1440p // Windows 10 x64

Also what ever you do do not get a 740..... For just a little more (as little as 10 bucks more) you can get an amd or nvidia that will way outperform it. This vid is for a 240 but applies to all the low end cards.
