I downloaded flightgear just for fun, tried to fly with the in-game tutorial and...:

1. Messed something up so it wouldn't start

2. Couldn't pull up and went into the ocean

3. Took off well, started going straight up, then straight down

 

I can't find any decent guides on how to use the simulator. Anyone have any links?
