In C#, through the Visual Studio IDE, it's usually done by double-clicking the button itself then typing what you want to happen inside the curly brackety things. It should be similar in VB I think.

It does not seem to be the same which is kind of weird.

I'll quickly pop up the IDE and see if I can figure it out

Edit: I can't seem to figure it out myself (I have no experience in VB) You may be able to find some info on Google

You can create the event method from the designer in VB as well.

You can also add a handler to the end of the method.

Handles Button1.Click ' Be sure to give it the events parameters as well'ExamplePrivate Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click 'Do stuffEnd Sub

You can also add/remove the handler inside a method like so

AddHandler Button1.Click, AddressOf MyMethodRemoveHandler Button1.Click, AddressOf MyMethod

Well to be honest that is how you add a click event.

If the code is not firing click on your button in the designer and make sure in the events pane of the button properties your event method is set to the click event.
