Hello, I'm inexperienced with this field and I would like to get some assistance in building my first PC. I would say my budget is $1,200(USD). Yes, I would like to be able to game, but I don't care about running games at MAX settings as long as it looks decent since i'm used to running things on the lowest possible settings lol. I don't have a monitor, keyboard, or mouse so that would be nice to know about as well. Are two different storage necessary? Like, a 500gb SSD or something be enough? I don't plan on running games that take up like 100gb alone lol and if I need the space to simply add it later if that's possible. Also, I believe I need to get an OS too? Thanks for any help.

Hi, i would recommend looking a some pre-built pcs on pcpartspicker and just getting a rough idea on what pc you want. Also you want to allocate money for your build for peripherals and the pc itself; check out some build guides on youtube just to get a rough idea on the pc you can afford. If you need any more help don't hesitate to reply yo this and ill help you as soon as possible.

Together with a 25" ips monitor this is seriously something you should consider.

good luck. please do some research on the parts in my build you are not familiar with. always do your own research. that being said, it looks solid. i would review each part if i were you.

for example...

samsung have some of the best ssd's, but you have a sandisk. review that

western digital has some of the best hdd's, but you have a seagate. review this as well

the psu is great. mobo is solid. cooler is fine. keyboard and mouse all good to go; i own both. ram is good to go. the monitor is one of the best on the market at 1080p for gaming. benq is also great for monitors. just make sure you get a 1ms monitor.

cpu is good to go. non overclockable so you don't have to worry. boost turbo goes up to 3.9 ghz though which is good. gigabyte gpu is solid too. corsair case is quite nice.

have fun

Your build looks good, thanks for the help :)

You can get the i5 4690K for an extra $5 and also a Z97 board. No point not having the option to overclock for a few $$ more.
