Volume causing problems?

Hi! :)

 

Now, yesterday, as I couldn't turn up the volume high enough, and decided to finally buy an amp (I have a HiFiMAN HE-400i), I thought about, could it damage or make the headphone go bad sooner if i listen at very high volumes?

 

I don't want to risk it. I'd rather listen to music on lower volumes than having to buy a new headphone sooner than I'd want to.

 

Any thoughts?
