Buying Windows 8.1...

Go to solution Solved by lani100,

So Tomorrow I plan to build My First PC. I'm now on the last touches with fairly little money left. I know you can buy product keys for windows 8.1 and then use a boot flash drive or another disk (I do have one from another computer, but my pc doesnt have a disc drive.) If I buy it and install it tomorrow, Will I still be able to upgrade to windows 10 for free on the 29th?

Cheers,

Doug

~PC Specs,

AMD FX-8350

Sabertooth 990fx

8GB Kingston HyperX

120GB Kingston SSD

Just over 2TB Of HDD

Asus R7 260x

750w Corsair Bronze PSU

NZXT h440

Yup as long as it's a legit copy you can upgrade to windows 10

Although i recommend you to get an intel CPU in the future, if you are disposed to change your mobo to an 1150 socket, or anything like that =D

Yeah I will, This is more of a budget Pc for the time being

But I will upgrade in the future. And go for a 4gb nvidia gpu so I can daisy chain.
