Nvidia driver crashes(Kernel mode)

Go to solution Solved by Arc_Jester,

The speakers, it comes from the freezing of the system and not a physical malfunction

I did abit of research and your problem is really common with Gigabyte 670s and Z series mobos, their is a fix you can find here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,9144.0.html

Hey guys, I corrently have a 670 gtx from Nvidia(Gigabyte) and for the last few months I am having some problems with it.

Once in a while the computer will just freeze for a while, sometimes the sound will go "buzzzz" and after some time the computer

will crash everything and display a small messege in the task bar: "nvidia kernel mode driver stopped responding and has recovered".

The card is 36 C at rest and won't go beyond 75 C at stress(it crashed without stressing the system, just wanted to give as much info as I can), I updated

the drivers to the lastest, I also used an older version to test it, I updated my windows also(8.1 64bit).

I don't remember everything I did but I tried alot of things and so far nothing fixed it, I would like to get some help, also if you need more info about the system I run or anything

just ask for it :)

Thanks!
