I have a "Test Bench" (Its in a Case) as I call it with a R9 280x and a DG45ID and the On-board Audio is dead, Adding a PCI sound card would block the air flow of the GPU as the Sound card is quite tall. The other sound cards I have a PCI-e and the PCI-e slot on the board is already being used. Any troubleshooting ideas? If not I would not mine spending no more than 5 dollars on a USB sound card, if it does come to this which of the cheapo ebay sound cards are "Good" and work with windows 8.1?

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!
