so i realized it was heat issue stock cooler was not enough to cool when i am gaming

just built my first pc been using it for about a week, i used all new parts but cpu and motherboard that was only used for about a month.  Motherboard was rma because it had a faulty chipset.

It worked fine for the first 2 days, suddenly computer would start to freeze sometime while using it near the time of start up.  It used to work fine if i just shut down and restart but now it freezes more often.

When the computer freezes speakers make a buzzing noise and i have no keyboard or mouse input but fans still run.

Sounds like this could still be a faulty chipset (horrible luck to get two in a row). Before you go for any more RMAs I would try to update the BIOS to the latest version from the ASUS website: here (just select your OS and download version 2601 of the BIOS). I have seen issues like this when running a brand new graphics card on an older BIOS.

Once you download the update you should unzip the file onto a flash drive and then boot into the ASUS BIOS (with the del key on startup). I don't know exactly how Asus structures the BIOS screen but there should be somewhere that you can update the firmware with the file on the flash drive.

Other things to try:

1) Make sure everything is firmly connect (I once had a loose GPU that would periodically become unseated and lock up the computer, which took me forever to troubleshoot).

2) If things are stable enough then you should update all of your drivers from the manufacturer's web sites.

3) Speak kindly to it...
