I want to know what CPU brand to get. Should I go with AMD or Intel? I don't want to spend much more but I want a good CPU. So should I stick with the one I have to go with Intel? This is my first build btw. This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/m9zzLk

What do you do with your build? Only gaming? Why not get a new gpu? More info please.

The FX Platform really makes no sense. For gaming, an i5-4460 with the stock cooler performs better and costs less, and for workstation tasks the Xeon E3 1231 V3 performs better in every way and the platform costs the same. If this is just gaming, you can get the cheaper i5-4460 CPU and upgrade to an R9 290 GPU and kick some serious gaming butt, but if this is a workstation/dual purpose gaming/editing/streaming build, then the Xeon is the right choice. I'm assuming you were learning more towards workstation due to your CPU choice and mediocre GPU for your budget.

I was going for a setup that would be powerful enough to run gaming servers on it plus the actual game, plus being able to render at ok speeds if I ever wanted to render a animation, because I do fiddle around with animations stuff every once in a while. I kinda want the parts I already have because of the fact that I picked them myself, and I want it to be 100% me because it is my first build. I just want some advice on if I should go with intel or AMX in my situation, and what specific CPU I should get. Also, do I need a wireless or wired adapter at all? If so which type should I use? Wireless or wired? Sorry for all the questions, I'm a big noob, but what is a BIOS update? It says my motherboard might need one.
