So in about 3 months I will be getting married, I have a couple of Groomsmen and friends who are wanting to build me an oooooover kill editing/gaming machine for my wedding gift.

They told me to make a list of all the things I want. Budget is around $3800. Check out my list. Let me know what you guys think. If you want to put a list together make sure you post it.

Thanks :D

The system I put together a list with more Graphics power, as opposed to memory. I also switched the monitor out to an IPS display as opposed to the TN you had selected.

I presume you're using old drives.

What I changed:

CPU: No benefit in the 5930K besides more PCI lines, this won't add any performance unless you have multiple GPUs. Which you don't.

GPU: 980Ti is much better for price to performance and better coolers are available.

Case: Just a nicer case, cuz why the hell not?

PSU: Corsair PSUs are overpriced and eVGA make just as god ones for a fraction of the price.

Monitor: Just a nicer monitor, 34" is godlike :D But it will make it wierd if you want more monitors. Anything smaller and it will look strange and will annoy your OCD.

I also added a nice headset and mouse. I understand if you already have some nice ones.

Congratz on getting married by the way :D
