hi! i need some help guys, no im in a little bit of a problem here.. im getting new 250 mbps internet (roger 250mbps) and in the location that we are going to put the router in our house(main floor), it is not possible to run the wire to my bedroom where my computer is located on the second floor. currently, i have a powerline adpater which works pretty well on my 25 mbps internet that caps out at 25 just as advertised, though upload speed arent really good with it, i dont really mind that much. now when i get this new faster internet, the router that they supply has the works, wireless ac, 5ghz 2.4 ghz simultaneous etc. but i need to know, for the best download speed, is it better to get a wireless ac card and put it into my pc or get a new gigabit powerline adapter? if anyone is in the same situation with similar speeds and using wireless ac, could you give me speed test results perhaps?

*edit* oh yes and if you are wondering what the internet situation is around my house, its pretty great actually, there is basically NOONE on the 5ghz network at all, 2.4 ghz is pretty crowd though. thanks for any help!!!

Wait and find out if you get the full speeds with powerline, otherwise try going with wireless AC.
