That looks like a good build it checks all the boxes. The PSU is overkill but i just looked at a similar build and it's actually more or less cheaper to get that PSU even though you don't need the extra watts. You can also save yourself around $100 by buying parts from other places rather than just pccasegear

I am good at computer

Spoiler

Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 sniper 3 | CPU: Intel 3770k @5.1Ghz | RAM: 32Gb G.Skill Ripjaws X @1600Mhz | Graphics card: EVGA 980 Ti SC | HDD: Seagate barracuda 3298534883327.74B + Samsung OEM 5400rpm drive + Seatgate barracude 2TB | PSU: Cougar CMX 1200w | CPU cooler: Custom loop

If you are gaming get an i5-3570 (IB), as you will not be able to make full use of all cores on the i7. (yet). 600W psu would be fine and just get a 770, its enough for you

sorry forgot to meantion i may go sli plus ill be recording and rendering

Hardware changes fast.  If you are not building until January, it's pretty much guaranteed that our recommendations will be different at that point.  I would come back and ask a few weeks or a month before you are going to build.

I disagree with everyone above me! Why? BECAUSE I CAN!

I say keep the power supply. its good and allows for expandability later on. Instead of the reference designed 780 I say get the asus DCUII version. its $80 cheaper and will not only run cooler but also quieter.

here it is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121779

another thing. save some money and switch from the i7 to the 4670k and get this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131989

you'll save some money plus get the newest generation

As he said before he is going to be rendering he needs the extra power and cores from an i7, it doesn't matter whether it's the newest generation of i5 the performance increase between haswell and ivy is minuscule so he has made the right choice for what he said he is going to do.

hes not doing heavy video work just simple screencaptures. the i7 will render video better on vegas, yes. but for his simple application is it worth the significant price difference? probably not

If you are doing a lot of rendering then go with a 8350 if not 4670k, and if you want to get all of the potential out of the monitor then get a 780 as it will get closer to 144fps than a 770.
