So, I picked up a Thustmaster T300RS a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! It's been used (so far) in Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom Racing Experience, and it's awesome! Oh, and I had tried it on the other two...things the wheel is made for too. I think they're called a "playstation" and it only works on the third and fourth variations...weird :P

Still awesome though. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting a TH8A shifter next week, along with the T3PA PRO pedal set. But I do have a question about it.

According to the manual (ha), they recommend connecting it to a PC, PS3, PS4 or Xbox One without the use of a USB hub. So, assuming they are referring to a BUS powered hub, would a mains powered hub like this one work ok?

It SHOULD work fine, but there is a chance it may not work, do you have a spare port on yor PC?

I do, but it's USB 3.0. Needs to be USB 2.0 for the shifter.

Really? That is pretty annoying since part of the point of new USB Revisions is backwards compatibility

It is annoying, that's why I had the hub in mind.

Unless it specifically says it doesn't work with USB 3.0 (and I cannot think of a single reason it wouldn't as USB 3.0 meets the entire USB 2.0 spec) it should work just fine. There are two reasons that they might say no hub 1) power and 2) bandwidth. Both of which USB 3.0 has more of than 2.0.

Pretty sure it will work

USB 3.0. If they say no hub it might have issues
