I am trying to find a deal on a newer laptop with a 1920x1080 panel under $1000 CDN (after tax+S/H) . Lenovo has had quite a few in the 600-900 Dollar range which are using Intel Broadwell i5 and i7 processors but there Screens all use some 1366x768 panel , i assume is TN.   Whats that all about, Some are spec'ed with i7 5500u 8 or 16GB Memory and one or two with dedicated GPU(GT 840M or something)

I would appreciate any input on a laptop/notebook that is 500 to 1000 dollars with a 1080p panel.(i5 or i7, 6GB Memory or more )  I have been looking on newegg . It is a quick and easy way to search for a good amount of what is avaiilable but im sure there is better sites .

If you're formally an engineer, avoid responsibility. That's what senior engineers get paid for.
