I got an iphone 6 and it came with apple earpods with remote and microphone. I wanted to test the microphone, so I plugged them into my linux computer. The sound comes out of both earpods, but the microphone isn't working. I have been plugging it into the headphone slot in my case, not the microphone. But there is no sound when I plug it into the microphone slot.
