Hello The Names tom one of TheGeminiTwins im 15 and looking to build my first rig my budget is borderline 850£ im British so keep that in mind.

These are the components im using and why im using them please give me some advice. i want to play games in 60 frames in HD maybe 4k and create videos namely reviews with gameplay or existing footage. Theme: Blue internal red external.

CPU: AMD FX 8350 CPU 8-Core Why: it has eight cores knowing more games are starting to use more than 2 cores making progress 4 cores i initially went with the six core variation but when i realized thoughs cores may be used to record the gameplay i went with an eight core to smooth it out. my friend told me about this CPU and said its the one he uses in his build so im gonna stick with it. 133.99 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-fd8350frhkbox

Fan: Master Cooler Hyper 212 Evo Why: honestly its a cheap cooler and everywhere i go they say the 212 is a good Fan. 23.99 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX Pro Motherboard Why: i want to use this board because... well its blue and has the 990FX chipset if anybody can tell me where to find it cheaper or better board that blue and uses the 990FX its about 111.69 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20

RAMM: Corsair vengance 2 sticks of 4GB: why: there just what i need for the moment, i'll proably upgrade later to 16 or 32 gigs when i can but for the moment i'll be using these. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9b

Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 series 60GB: Why: this is my boot drive where i'll be downloading windows 7 or 8 or 10

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-internal-hard-drive-sv300s37a60g

Seagate  Barracuda 1TB Why: stoage for games and footage im probably gonna get a second SSD and hard drive later.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000dm003

Graphic card: MSI Radeon R9 390 Graphics card: Why it's the latest card by AMD and because i don't own an existing 290 and the one i was looking at had the same price already i thought i'll just upgrade to this card. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9390gaming8g

Case: NZXT Phantom 530 Red Why: a large case perfect for water cooling (which i may invest in later), hard drive space and just enough cable management. Plus it help the red and blue aesthetic i want to create.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-caph530r1

PSU: Corsair Builder 600 watt power supply: Why: the wattage is about 514 so a 600 watt power supply is good enough for now maybe i'll purchase an 750 later for crossfire but for now 600 is good enough for me. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx600

Disc drive: Samsung disc drive SH-224DB: why i honestly just saw the cheapest and most well received one.

OS: Windows 7 or 8.

hello

that thinking is outdated. those 8 cores are very weak for gaming, hence an hyperthreaded dual core i3 IS better than any cpu amd has to offer .http://www.techspot.com/review/943-best-value-desktop-cpu/page6.html

the fx 8350 has turned into the first amd 8 core fx 8150,which today can be thrown to garbage along with all them 8 cores.doesn`t matter because its just...old

even amd has given up on their cpus, showing off their gpus on intel platforms

i suggest the i5 4460+ cheaper b85/h97 mobo or if you want to OC i5 4690K+z97 mobo+ 212 evo.however cpu OC doesn`t do much for gaming

E: and get low profile RAM to not interfere with the cpu aftermarket cooler.something like kingston fury

Can we get a sticky of this post?2nd post down by tedster

Theres too many misconceptions now that amd is the go to cheap cpu. This 8350 is usually worse in games then a dual core i3.

Are you OK?

You have a 850£ budget and want to game, so you go with a 4 year old CPU, and a 60gb V300 ssd now.

The SSD is the boot drive and the hard drive is where im gonna store some of my games i'm gonna install an SSD later for storage.

I can't do it, I can't use a Intel CPU with my budget the 4690K is to expensive and lacks hyper threading. i can't use it, i need a cpu thats under 200 that can video edit and game and i'm not planning on doing SUPER Intensive gaming just 60 frames. most of the game i want to play are Skyrim and Fallout i can't aford it im overbudget by 200 pounds as it is. your advice is helpful thanks but i can't really afford it if there any other advice you can give go ahead thanks. -tom (Reading this makes me seem a bit dramatic)

Seems quite solid but more TB on HDD then you get more for money (more TB = more money saved later.)

Not sure how much power 390 uses so get 750W right away is better. :P
