Hi guys,

Need a little help here. The display on my assembled PC has started acting up recently. While working on Unity, different parts of the screen started displaying purple squares. After this, the display became inactive(turned off stating there was no connection). I restarted my PC, after which the loading screens were all jarry and the screen went off again. I shut off the system and rechecked all the connections to the SMPS, concerned there was a power/connection issue. When I started the pc this time around, it booted up properly and loaded up itunes and unity again. After a few moments, the screen went off and the audio stopped playing as well.

Since the audio stopped playing, I don't think this issue is limited to my monitor or my graphics card. What are your thoughts on this?

Regards,

Sam.

Hey ComicSans,  the monitor stays on but it says there's no connection. I'm using the PC right now, as I'm replying to this and it's working fine. It's happened before and I'm unsure why :(

It could be a bad cable.

Try a different cable, and also try a different imput.
