What headset should i buy my younger brother for his birthday. i asked him what he wanted and hes split between 3 the razer kraken pros, hyper x clouds, and corsair h1500. I wanted to buy him a pair of good headphones like sennheiser hd518 and a desktop mic but hes convinced on buying a headset. Im leaning toward the hyper x clouds because every razer product iv owned has broken somehow and he has a soundcard so i dont see the point of buying the corsairs which are usb. if there are any other headsets that are better and range from 50-80 usd id appreciate it.

The clouds 1 are the best you can get in that price point just get the v1 and not the second.

Well I agree with you about the Razer headsets, also if I'm right the reviews of the Krakens aren't that great. Me myself have the Steelseries Siberia V2 and is very satisfied with them. They are really good price for the performance (You could consider the V3's but I have seen some reviews complaining about bad sound EQ compared to the V2's). Otherwise I think the Hyper X clouds are good, just not as good looking in my opinion.

H1500 and Razer suck ass in the audio department.I tried them myself.

 

The is not that bad but you should really get those senhiessers

HyperX cloud gaming headset is quite the headset for the money good mic and the same can be said for the sound quality if u want to ask any questions about just ask as I have had it for the past 3 months now
