Not sure where to post this. Anyone got a Sony ZX2 and uses Spotify Premium? I am thinking of getting it to replace my iPhone as my portable music device, hopefully having better music quality.

I'm also looking to replace my Bose QC. Perhpas with either the B&W P7, Oppo PM-3 or LCD-XC.

No point getting a ZX2 and using spotify, its audio files are not high enough quality to take advantage of the audio hardware in that device, you need to be downloading lossless high resolution audio tracks

and you also need some good headphones (I see you plan to upgrade these so thats a start)

Bose QC headphones sound pretty pants IMO so just getting new headphones you will get better audio quality

OK, how about Tidal lossless? I did try them and they sounded slightly better on my home cinema speakers (Monitor Audio) but not much to pay the extra over Spotify.
