Gigabyte B85N not posting

Currently building a server PC at school and it is not posting, but its turning on just fine. Does not recognize the monitor we plugged it into.

 

The specs are:

i5 4440

Gigabyte B85N

8 GB of crucial memory

1TB HDD

Arch tech p4 power supply (integrated)

Have you plugged speaker (beeper) to the mobo? if you did, does it beep? Also which port do you plug monitor in, HDMI or DVI, if HDMI I would try DVI, and it may be stupid but... check if monitor is turned on.
