Hi guys (and girls if your reading this)

im buying a new gaming laptop (need its portability) and it comes with

i7 4710Hq

12GB Ram

GTX 970M 6GB

I have seen videos online showing these specs can play AC unity on high settings with about 40FPS.

but its under the recommended requirements? how does that work?

also is anybody able to say if ill be able to play the newer games that come out in the next 2 years on high? im coming from console and im not sure about what the difference in terms of Quality looks like from PC to console. this PC is costing me $3000NZD and I want to make sure that I can at least get a few years out of it

your help is greatly appreciated.

one last thing, 6GB too much Vram for a 1080p screen?

Mind telling us the brand and model of the laptop?

And I wouldn't say there's much of a thing called "Too much VRAM", although I doubt you'd ever go over 3-4GB of VRAM usage even on highly demanding games at 1080p.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

970M 6GB VRAM? Are you sure it's 6GB or is it 5.5? Or 5? I'm realy curious right now :S

Seriously now I doubt you'll be playing latest hardcore titles in high  next year with a laptop even if its 970M but you never now, although normals games should be perfectly fine.
