I know there's nothing like 'future-proofing', but I still wondered whether it would be a good idea to buy a notebook without M.2 (pcie) or not.

I am really impressed by those 1400MB/s numbers  :wub:

 

So, what do you think?

Depends what you are going for

500MB/s sata SSD is still more than enough for most people, in fact, a lot of laptops are still sold with a mech drive as boot drive.

I am going to put a 500Mb/s ssd in and no extreme tasks (5200U) but I thought to myself that storage speed might get more important in the future.
