So my friend changed his motherboard of his old predator G5(i7-2700k) to the i7-5280k with a MSI x99s gaming 7. And after changing to the new system windows will not boot to install drivers. But it does POST

SATA mode has been changed to ACHI

we do not have a windows disk( although we can get one).

and most online solutions have not yeided anything.

 

Current specs

i7-5820k

MSI x99s gaming 7

MSI 980 gaming

16gb gskill ram

Win7 HP 64bit

Oh god, i had the same prob whit my predator.

Eventually i ended up buying a new SSD, because there ssd was programmed to only work with there OEM motherboard.

 

EDIT: What datastorage he use?

Oh god, i had the same prob whit my predator.

Eventually i ended up buying a new SSD, because the ssd was programmed to only work with there OEM motherboard.

 

EDIT: What datastorage he use?

He uses a 2TB WD red that he bought because the original drive that came with the Predator failed
