Chrome app issues receiving new WU

ing: Unexpected response to AS assignment request: error,DB ERROR: IO error: log.leveldb/016519.ldb: Too many open files

i get the above error and i am not sure why, i turned it on today and it decided to not work. i cleared my cookies, still nothing. i waited several hours and tried again, nothing. can I get some suggestions?
