CPU and RAM Voltage compatibility

Go to solution Solved by kevink817,

Intel recommends a max of 1.5v for the 4790k, however many people use 1.65v memory with no issues. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/223908-165v-ram-bad-for-i7-4790k/

So I'm going to buy the 4790k and a Corsair Dominator Platinum (2x8) 2400 Mhz DDR3, and I'm having trouble figuring out whether or

not having a higher voltage than the stock cpu is any bad. I'm not sure what the stock voltage is for the 4790k but I was on pcpartpicker

and it told me this http://puu.sh/iePhw/b9c6d6fe69.pngI know that the voltage on the ram is 1.65, I was looking on some other sites looking

for the answer but couldn't find anything helpful.
