right so will the raid card work then if i put together raid 10 through the raid card

Hi, I'm building a server and I'm looking for an ASUS board that can support different versions of RAID for absolute safe backup, but in order to have RAID support, does the motherboard have to support it or can that belong entirely to the RAID card?
