This makes no sense. You get a K series CPU for overclocking, but then don't get a Z chipset board or an aftermarket cooler so you can't overclock. Just downgrade to an i5-4460 in that case. You're paying more on the CPU for overclocking, which your other components wont let you do.

It does rely on rebates, so if you don't like that, consider getting a cheaper case as the components are all more than worth it. Another place to downgrade if you don't like rebates is the motherboard. An ASrock Z97 Anniversary edition (ATX verison only, avoid the mATX) is still a decent motherboard. It just didn't fit the black/red theme.

u can overclock on anniversary edition mobos the h97 chip can support over clocking.  

 

his build was more balanced and price accurate since he didnt include micro center parts

 

all i would add would be an ssd
