SLI Bridge Not Detected

Go to solution Solved by Wander Away,

Well this is somewhat of a fix, the only downside is the annoying "test mode" on the bottom right of the screens.

I'll get my hands on some light colored desktop background to cover it up then i guess.

It looks like a problem in the nvidia drivers for cards from different brands. It looks like this has been going on for a while as well, so probably not gonna get fixed by nvidia any time soon.

EDIT: http://puu.sh/icTin/4c0d16baef.jpg

Notice the semi-annoying test mode at the bottom right corner of each screen

Welp, to begin with, here's my system information (The important bit):

MB: Asus Gryphon Z97

CPU: i5-4690K

GPU: Zotac GTX 970

         MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G

PSU: EVGA SuperNova 850 B2

Dual Boot windows 8.1 and 7

The Problem:

http://puu.sh/icQtc/d911be061a.png

Each card works individually, and both of them are recognized by the system.

What I've tried (For both my OS):

Swapping slots for each card;

different sli cables

plugging two sli cables into two fingers (hmmm)

Clean install of driver

BIOS update

googled a tool called DifferentSLIAuto1.2, while partially solving the problem, made the system a bit weird and booting into test mode. after disabling test mode, problem came back.

So, here I am, on the LTT forums screaming for help :c

Do you have another system by any chance to put them both into?

As far as I know there is a lot of issues with the Gryphon boards and SLI enabling.

That board unfortunately does not support SLI

Well, that's a problem. I'll google some more on that.

Yeah not many people have had luck with SLI on them as far as I know I don't its even validated for SLI support which might be the issue your running into

P.S. Added in osu!

-SNIP-

It's definitely validated for SLI... Oh well, not the first issue I've had with this board.

For some reason, the windows 10 preview thing isnt bothering me too much on my laptop.

But its a super light blue color as wallpaper, so I can't really see it unless I try really hard.
