Right now im using autodesk inventor on my 2012 mid macbook pro with i5 3210m hd 4400 16GB ram 256GB ssd

I was looking at the as a replacement, would it be any better or worse? About the same? i7 820qm and quadro fx 880

 

Im not looking to get it as an upgrade but id like to sell my macbook with original 500GB and 4GB ram, put the 16GB and ssd in a new laptop and use the extra cash for my Z97/X99 build im planning.
